We set out to change the usual experience people have when encountering other tradesmen, we wanted to raise the bar for service and delivering an exceptional result. Along the way, we thought there had to be something more we could do to make a difference and the answer was staring us right in the face. NZ has a reputation for being clean and green but we think we can do better. By reducing electricity consumption in homes and businesses and getting to 100% renewable we can solidify our clean green image and pave the way for a sustainable future. We may be small now but we dream big and we will stop at nothing until we get there, join us on our journey and help make a positive difference to the world.
Our Story
Our story starts from humble beginnings, two electricians looking to make a positive change in the world.
Lite Energy: The eco-friendly electrician
New Zealand is an incredible country, and we’re lucky to live in it. Of course, being based in Wellington, there is no truer statement than ‘You can’t beat Wellington on a good day’. We have clean water, beautiful beaches, endless mountains, and more tramping tracks than you can shake a walking stick at, and it’s this same wilderness and natural environment that has allowed New Zealand to harness the power of nature and create an energy grid that’s powered by over 80% renewable sources. So we say – why stop there?
We say that every homeowner and business can do their part by making the most of New Zealand’s world-class power grid, and by keeping their carbon footprint to a minimum. And of course, we’re making changes, too. We’re switching to a fleet of electric vehicles instead of the usual gas-powered vans, we’re making a commitment to recycle whenever possible, donate to environmental charities, and find the best homes for old electrical parts where they can be re-used as much as they can be.
